The Brandon Regional Health Centre/hospital provides 24-hour emergency medical service, has over 300 beds, is a fully accredited training hospital and the medical referral center for Southwestern Manitoba.
The facility is currently undergoing an expansion.

Prairie Mountain Health Authority (PMHA)

Prairie Mountain Health/Santé Prairie Mountain (PMH) is one of five regional health authorities created in the province by the Manitoba government. Prairie Mountain Health covers a significant area in Manitoba including the City of Brandon.

Rehabilitation Therapy 
Brandon is home to rehabilitation services of all types provided by certified therapists in a range of settings including health offices, medical clinics, and local businesses.  Most rehabilitation services such as chiropractors, physiotherapy and massage therapy are offered on a fee for service basis and are covered by many extended health care plans.

Located in downtown Brandon, the Centre provides health and social services all under one roof to help individuals and families, delivered by professional staff at the Centre or through our many partnerships. See the website for a list of the main programs and services provided.

Medical Services

Eye Care Services

Eye care is partially covered by the Manitoba Health Care System.  Children up to age 18 and people over age 65 receive a free eye examination from an optometrist every two years. People between 19 - 64 years of age must pay for most eye care services. Some workplaces provide their employees with vision coverage as part of an extended health plan. Brandon has numerous optometrists that provide eye care services.

Dental Services

The cost of dental care is not covered under the Manitoba Health Care System. Dental care is paid by the patient or privately purchased dental insurance. 
A dentist is available 24 hours / day, 7 days a week for emergency situations. The Emergency Room at 204-726-2281 will provide the name of the dentist on call. 

The Government of Canada created a free dental plan called the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
